INDEX

Chemical anchors, also known as resin or chemical fixings are the products most widely used by both professionals and DIY enthusiasts to secure elements to different materials.

They are excellent solutions for fitting heavy-duty elements to both solid materials (concrete and stone) as well as hollow materials (masonry and hollow bricks). Basically, they act as an adhesive between the material and the inserted rod or shank. Chemical anchors/fixings have the following advantages:

Maximum performance

They can bear higher loads than mechanical fixings as the load is borne by the whole surface area of the perforation providing extra strong anchorage

Flexibility

Chemical anchors provide flexibility during work to adapt the fixing strength to the load requirements of the application. They allow the load capacity to be easily increased, if necessary, by increasing the depth or diameter of the drill

No stress exerted

Chemical anchors work through adherence and not through expansion like other fixings that work through pressure. This means that there is no stress generated in the surface around the perforation, allowing installation closer to the edge and with a smaller space between fixings.
